Pumpkin Honey Bun Cake

Cooking time: 40 minutes


  • 1 box of super moist yellow cake mix
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup canned pumpkin
  • 2.5 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9 x 13 pan.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, oil, eggs, brown sugar, sour cream, pumpkin, and pumpkin pie spice.
  4. Using an electric beater, beat the mixture for about two minutes on medium speed.
  5. Pour batter into greased pan and put in oven for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. When cake is almost done in the oven, begin making the glaze by combining the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla.
  7. Whisk glaze mixture until smooth.
  8. Once cake comes out of the oven, pour the glaze over it while it is still warm.
  9. Allow cake to cool (at least a little bit) and enjoy!
