Ingredients
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 small onion diced
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/2 cup tomato paste
- 1 cup heavy cream
- salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 2 tsp basil leaves
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 cups cooked pasta
- 1/2 cup pasta water
- 1 cup shredded parmesan
- 1 tbsp butter
Instructions
- First cook pasta, saving 1/2 cup pasta water and set aside
- In a large skillet, add olive oil, onion, and garlic. Sauce until fragrant.
- Add tomato paste and heavy cream. Stir well.
- Add salt, pepper, red pepper, cayenne pepper, and basil. Stir well.
- Add cooked pasta and pasta water stirring well.
- Finally, add parmesan and butter stirring until cheese and butter are melted. Serve and enjoy!!
