(No) Vodka Pasta

Cooking time: 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup tomato paste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp basil leaves
  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups cooked pasta
  • 1/2 cup pasta water
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. First cook pasta, saving 1/2 cup pasta water and set aside
  2. In a large skillet, add olive oil, onion, and garlic. Sauce until fragrant.
  3. Add tomato paste and heavy cream. Stir well.
  4. Add salt, pepper, red pepper, cayenne pepper, and basil. Stir well.
  5. Add cooked pasta and pasta water stirring well.
  6. Finally, add parmesan and butter stirring until cheese and butter are melted. Serve and enjoy!!
